Ehsan, one of PSD’s Youth EARN initiatives, made its official launch via a celebration last week in Tulkarem.
Ehsan focuses on community values and promotes volunteerism, collaboration, and equality, and its celebratory launch touched on all of these. The group worked with government agencies, private companies, and other NGOs to draw attention to the needs of local families.
Through their efforts, they managed to put together meals to provide for 31 families that day. Singing, dancing, and even face-painting were among the many activities that attendees all joined in on. Volunteers and local agencies happily united to support Ehsan in creating a healthier community, increasing people’s awareness on the value helping others, and preventing waste.
Ehsan is one of several youth enterprises that came out of the Youth EARN project. The group continues to move forward with its work in mobilizing communities to help those less fortunate. To date, they have engaged the community to provide enough meals to sustain 100 families every day for one month. We are inspired by their progress and look forward to seeing more of the positive impact they are making in the West Bank.
